Here’s the GIF!!!!!!! Loving it.
I have had an M.I.A. obsession for years and years and years. When i heard that she was performing with Madonna at the Super Bowl, i about died. THIS IS SO MAJOR!!!! I dont even care about the football, I only care about seeing the halftime performance! During the commercial break, before the performance, my heart was beating SO FAST and i started to sweat. Then Madonna comes out, does a couple numbers, and when i saw M.I.A. in that headpiece and that big M on her outfit, and the over the knee black heeled boots???? GIRLLLLLL SHE WAS GIVING ME EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! Then to top it off, she FLIPS OFF THE CAMERA!!! This is the motherfucking SUPER BOWL! One of the most watched shows of the YEAR and she gives us all a big FUCK YOU!!! THAT IS MY GIRLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this point, i dont care who wins the ball game because i’ve already been given EVERYTHING ive ever needed by Nicki, M.I.A., and Madonna.
..And here’s the screenshot, from yours truly <333
This is a photo of one of my favorite models, Raquel Zimmermann. This is from an Australian magazine called RUSSH, from the October/November 2010 issue, shot by the fabulous Juergen Teller, who has also shot Marc Jacobs’ advertising campaigns for over a decade. I’m obsessed with this picture of Raquel because she looks so androgynous. No makeup, a Metallica t-shirt, grungy hair, the belt and chains, and her facial expression- she is just doing everything for me. This is the main reason I love Raquel- because she is just so god damn versatile. She can go from shooting super hip & feminine Lanvin campaign- dancing in stilettos, to this. Just fabulous.

I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that David Bowie is one of my most sacred style icons and inspirations. I really really wish I would’ve been alive during his prime, so I would have experienced his empire, however, watching his interviews and performances and looking at picture after picture and studying his legacy is just as, if not even more, thrilling. He was a pioneer of androgyny in pop culture and paved the way for people like me for the future (which I am forever thankful for), his music questioned the soul of rock music of its day, he created the biggest cult that pop culture had ever seen, and today we wish him a happy 65th birthday <3
and to Elvis, another cultural icon and the KING of rocknroll- we’re still dancing to your music and celebrating your legacy. Happy 77th birthday.
This is Willy Cartier. He’s part French, part Vietnamese, and he’s a model+dancer from France. This photo is of him leaving a casting. I’m totally obsessed with him. He is SO attractive. I love his androgynous look- his long hair with the middle part, his bold eyebrows, his bone structure, and his piercing but seductive eyes. He’s done Givenchy, which ive been obsessed with for years and years and years, & he did it well. Can he marry me so my last name will be Cartier too??? Seriously, i cant get enough of him.
This is a photo of Rick Genest, aka Rico the Zombie, taken by Mateusz Stankiewicz, for Fashion Magazine. Rick, in my opinion, represents a new generation. In his own words, “Everybody has their own opinion, their own ideas of what beauty is.”, and i agree. Not everyone may agree that looking like a zombie is beauty, but I think it is, for him at least. I think Rick is one of the most attractive people on this planet, from literally being a body of art, to his voice, to his smile and his story, he is perfect to me. He said, “I thought long and hard about what I really wanted, what my passion was. And I decided I wanted to be a fucking zombie.” 2012 is going to be the year of individuality & chasing your dreams, no matter what anyone tells you, and I think Rick represents that 100%. He is the future.
This is a photo of Baptiste Giabiconi, taken by Bojana Tatarska, for DANSK Magazine- a fashion magazine from Copenhagen. The title of the editorial is The Choice of a New Generation, and I love it because it is so androgynous- from the hair, to the styling, to his posture, and I feel that androgynous men (such as myself), are definitely a ‘new generation’.
Marilyn Manson has always been an inspiration of mine, from his fashion, to all his controversy, to his genius mind and his artistic but mindfucking films and music videos, to just playing some good rocknroll. I’ve begun appreciating his art so much more, as of late, because rather than being younger & naive and watching his videos and listening to his music for the shock factor, I can look and think deeper into them and understand where he’s coming from, understand the messages he’s illustrating, and appreciate & love him more and more, and learn from it. Lady Gaga is the single most inspirational person i’ve ever had in my whole entire life. She has changed my life in so many ways- she has given me so much strength, bravery, and self-confidence, she has shined her positive light on my darkest days, she has given me a reason for living and liberated me from all my insecurities, and most of all- she has given me a voice, for which i use to spread her message to all of my peers and inspire them, as well as myself, that we are beautiful in our way, ‘cause God makes no mistakes, we’re on the right track baby, we were BORN THIS WAY.
This photo (taken by Stéphane Feugère, at a dinner in Paris for Alexander Wang, hosted by the Parisian boutique COLETTE, at La Fidélité), is so fascinating in my opinion because: A) it features Natasha Poly, Lauren Santo Domingo, Lily Donaldson, & Raquel Zimmermann- 4 of fashion’s most familiar, beautiful women B) I’m especially obsessed with Raquel- she’s so versatile, & she’s been modeling for over a decade and NEVER goes out of fashion C) fashion industry dinners/parties are the most fabulous ones, and D) there is such an art to smoking a cigarette, from the way its held (as Lauren is doing so stylishly), to the way its inhaled, and then exhaled (as Lily is doing so aesthetically). To me, there is something so captivating about seeing models, the most beautiful and envied women on the planet, smoking cigarettes, which are one of the leading causes of death and disease in the world today. Seeing something so ‘perfect’ engaging in something so ‘imperfect’ is quite mesmerizing. (taken March 9, 2009)
